Welcome to the Stephens College M.F.A. in Television and Screenwriting. I’m welcoming you into a world which includes the Jim Henson Studios, festooned with Muppets and its history of Charlie Chaplin; an amiable faculty of working Hollywood writers; a cadre of guest speakers which includes preeminent television writers, screenwriters, and show runners; the joys of the Beverly Garland Hotel (including a swimming pool which screens movies); and your fellow students.
While we’re a new program – our first class graduated in May 2017 – I can assure you that your fellow students are an extraordinary bunch. Each cohort of this program gathers together a wonderfully diverse group of writers and the Class of 2020- your class!– is no different.

DATES OF THE WORKSHOPS:
Each workshop is wrapped around two weekends so that students miss a minimal time away from their workplace. Here is the schedule for the workshops this coming year:
First Workshop – Friday, August 3- Sunday, August 12
