Sarah Perrote is a Chicago-based literary artist and freelance writer who has a focus in contemporary poetry and fiction writing. She has worked with Goddess Works Media Group, LLC. since 2014. Sarah has published several collections of poetry; Speaking Silently, All Hail Women, Love Poems, and When I was Blue: notes on how to grow up. Sarah’s writing tends to be focused on reclaiming voice and narrative of Native American Women, gender stratification, processing grief and loss, raising awareness to social problems, surviving the battle with cancer, parenting, and life and death. Sarah has been awarded and recognized as a poet through the Illinois Skyway Writer’s Competition 2014, placing first for a poetry piece and short-fiction. Sarah has published with Four Winds Literary Journal’s third edition Taking Back Tiger Lily, Sarah also had a poem published in her school’s literary journal, “Voices” for 2015 and 2016. Sarah is the featured artist for poetry and photography in Wyoming based literary journal, Loud Zoo.

Sarah is currently enrolled in Worsham College of Mortuary Science, just outside of Chicago, and will then be studying Sociology and Political Science at UIC in Chicago.
